I have to agree it's a very good mascara. I've stayed away from Maybelline for a while in favor of more expensive department-store brands, but ever since I started working from home and I don't have to put makeup on every day, the thought of spending $30+ for a tube of something I'll use twice a week and then throw away after three months just wasn't as justifiable. The applicator is unusual, and you have to get used to it. Once you do, however, you'll see that it's useful in ways a regular wand wouldn't be, like applying a very even coat and separating your lashes. I have noticed it may clump if the previous coat dries too much before you put the next coat on, but nothing that a little practice wouldn't help. There is literally nothing I find more trashy-looking than clumpy mascara, and once I've figured out the method, I can happily report my lashes being clump-free every time I've used the Lash Stylist. It lasts all day, too, even in the ridiculously humid Houston climate. I bought it on amazon, for about $10 for two tubes of brown-black. Would definitely buy it again, if anyone still sells it a few months from now.

I am almost finished w/ my last tube of this...and can NOT understand how $h*tty old Great Lash is still being pimped out while this mascara is DC'd. It's a great formula w/ a unique applicator that actually works. It lasts all day without flaking, smudging, clumping, etc. I agree w/ others that layering w/ a volumizing mascara (I like Maybellline's Unstoppable/also dc'd...or Colossal) really makes all the difference w/ this. The only comparable product is Loreal's Telescopic. But Lash Stylist is still the best.

This is the best mascara to use as a top coat. Alone it's doesn't do much but if you use a volumizing mascara first and then the Maybelline Lash Stylist mascara, it will make your eyes really stand out and look amazing! I love it and can't go out to the bars/clubs without it!

I refuse to leave the house without mascara, and I have searched high and low for ten years to find the best mascara to volumize my thin, short eyelashes. This is the absolute best mascara I have ever used!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it's discontinued. I still order it online where I can find it because no other mascara, cheap or expensive, has ever come close to being as great. It separates lashes, volumizes, and adds length. It's essentially perfect. Please bring it back, Maybelline!

I was so disappointed to learn this mascara has been discontinued. But I will save the comb and use it in other Maybelline formulas e.g. Great Lash. I always got compliments on my lashes when I used this mascara. Lengthened, defined, and curled. It was great mascara!!!

Have you ever worn a mascara that clumps so much to the point where the clumps block your eyesight? Well this mascara is amazing at doing that. When I first bought this mascara I pulled it out and saw the freakish looking applicator. I don't know about you but comb applicators scare the crap out of me. I put my fears aside and tried it on. First coat, I was like hmmm this is not so bad. Second coat, Wow look at all the volume. Third coat, What the hell? My eyelashes are one big clump. I was disgusted by it and my spider lashes. *Cringe* Spider Lashes= my worst nightmare. Sorry, back to the mascara. My friend showed me a trick to using this product. Use one coat of it and apply your other favorite mascara to help seperate the lashes and the Lash Stylist will give you volume and length. The layering of other mascaras allows this product to live its true potential. I would not recommend this product alone but to pair it with your favorite mascara it really makes for a match made in heaven.

This is the best mascara I've ever had and I've tried Lancome, YSL, Rimmel, Dior, Clinique, Estee Lauder ... just to name a few. I can't tell how upset I was a couple of weeks ago when I realised this product had been discontinued. :-(
It's the first mascara ever that I didn't need to use a lash curler, it curled, lifted my lashes and gave an awesome volume. Never flaked, never smudged, lasted long - the best mascara ever hands down.
I can't believe it's gone, I don't know what I'll use now since no other mascara HE or LE/DS can't compare to this one.

Why was this discontinued? It was the only mascara I've tried so far that actually gave me really nice false looking lashes because they looked so terrific! I noticed this mascara getting harder and harder to find and I currently have my only and last one on the go right now. I will be keeping the brush. I tried a similar brush from rimmel. Just not the same.
I really hope they bring out something similar. I do not like the traditional mascara brush, bring on the comb!

So upset it has been disconnected. Mascara comb was a break through. I used it for 3 years and when I could no longer find it I had to return back to bristle brushes, which do no where near what lash stylist did for me! It is impossible trying to find a dupe of this comb! Although the formula for the actual mascara could have been better in the flaking after-a-couple-hours department, I can still not seem to be able to pair my old combs from lash stylist with any new mascara too get the same effect. If anyone ever finds the dupe of this product please share with me!!

I didn't know this was discontinued, how sad! I have very few products that I never stray from, but this is one thing I never wanted to see go! I have used it consistently for 4 years (since I was 19) and I LOVE it. If you work the brush right it can work wonders. I've gotten lots of compliments and lots of people asking if my lashes are real. I will definitely be saving the brush!

I LOVE this product. It defines, separates, lengthens, and even gives a little volume. I get so many compliments on my eyes when I wear this mascara! Honestly I am devastated that it's discontinued so I will be cleaning and re-using the comb. I believe that most of the bad reviews of this mascara are due to people not knowing how to use the comb. Other than that I think everyone could benefit from this stuff!

This Maybelline mascara is awesome. It did take some getting used to at first, since its not a regular brush. It doesn't flake or clump on me, lifts and separates my lashes without having to use a comb afterwards, and gives volume. I have also found it at Target as well as Burke's/Beall's Outlet and Big Lots. Will definitely purchase again when I run out.

i have long thick lashes, and this product actually made my lashes look shorter! it is so clumpy, too much product gets on the brush and it is just all round a very bad mascara. the brush is weird, i wasn't a fan of it. this did nothing for me, just short clumpy lashes!!! this product still is still avalible in australia, but i won't be repurchasing

UGH, lmao i can't believe i never reviewed this before, because it was so crappy. last summer i bought this, and it was awful. first of all, it clumped and flaked SOOO bad. then, considering this is supposed to separate well, it didn't do that at all, i got spider lashes. and the brush! WTF WAS MAYBELLINE THINKING!??? i almost took my eye out using it, it was imposible to use. what a stupid mascara. i really hated it. i'm glad it's being discontinued.

Too bad that this mascara is discountinued. I love the waterproof formula because it dosen't flake or smear like the other maybelline mascaras. I love this mascara because it makes my lashes look like I am wearning false eyelashes. now i will have to buy this off e-bay and stock up.

I have always had problems with my lashes clumping together with various volume mascaras and was excited to try a lash comb instead. I was pretty impressed it was great at seprating the lashs and making them look more defined, with out clumping them together. It isnt the best volume mascara but I do like that you can use it for an everyday mascara. Also, the lash comb makes doing your bottom lashes a snap!

I first hated the mascara because it would always clump, but my original reaction can be disregarded because I now have a better way of applying this mascara. Whenever I use this, I always wipe the excess of the mascara at the top of the mascara tube and THEN apply. I absolutely love the length this gives me. It's absolutely incredible, however, the curl does not stay long. And there is still mild clumping so that's why I took off a lippy. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and it saddens me to see that this will be discontinued

I used this mascara for the first time at a friend's house.. I fell in LOVE with it.. This and diorshow are my HG mascaras, but they both are for different reasons. Now diorshow is all-over thickening, but this one is LENGTH and thick length. I bought the waterproof when I went on vacation and when I came back I went to buy the normal one but they discontinued it and it was nowhere to be found! Rimmel's comb-mascara comes nowhere near to this one, so now I just use the Lash Stylist brush in other mascara tubes, haha! I recommend doing this if you love this mascara, there are enough other mascaras with the same consistency and same opening-size that'll fit right in!
